Nourishing food is the
foundation of a healthy lifestyle

One in four people in Los Angeles County experiences food insecurity. Many students across Los Angeles County will head to class with empty stomachs, causing a distracted mind, and preventing them from learning in the classrooms.

Food insecurity is a symptom of increasing poverty that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis. Concerned Citizens Community Involvement has expanded the scale of our health and food security efforts through strategic partnerships with organizations such as:

  • Sustainable Economic Enterprises
  • Los Angeles & Inglewood Unified School Districts
  • The National Football League Foundation
  • The American Heart Association
  • Everytable University
  • Inglewood Active Communities
  • Trader Joes
  • TORCH LA

Everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food. Through Trader Joe’s, Concerned Citizens Community Involvement now distributes USDA approved fruits and vegetables weekly, serving hundreds of struggling families.

We continue to provide food and hope for people and communities in need every day.

CCCI helps reduce
food insecurity for
hundreds of LA
families.
